Fiber artist, Carol Cypher, teaches workshops in beadwork and feltmaking and the provocative pairing of the two, in the U.S.A., Japan, Australia and Europe.

She is author of MASTERING BEADWORK: A COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO OFF-LOOM TECHNIQUES, in addition to two felting books, published in the USA by Interweave Press: HAND FELTED JEWELRY AND BEADS; 25 ARTFUL DESIGNS, and HOW WE FELT; DESIGNS AND TECHNIQUES FROM CONTEMPORARY FELT ARTISTS, She also wrote a Japanese book on feltmaking, published by Patchwork Tsushin LTD and sponsored by Tulip Co. (Carol's English manuscript was translated by Motoko Natsubori.)

Cypher's designs were included in the certification program in Gakusyu Forum / Japan Association of Leisure and Cultural Development based in Tokyo. 

She has exhibited in the U.S.A., Japan, Australia and Scotland. Her work is published in several books and magazines in the U.S.A., Australia, Japan and Europe, including two masterclasses for BEADWORK MAGAZINE. T.V. appearances include PBS and D.I.Y. networks. Cypher has taught in the fashion program at Marist College in Poughkeepsie NY and presented workshops at Steinhardt School of Art at NYU in New York City and  Moral Fibre Felting Studio, a branch of Inkberrow Studios in Ludlow UK, as well as bead shows, conferences and retreats, worldwide. interweave.com offers Cypher’s webinars about the 2 South African stitches that she has explored and advanced for the past decade. 

In 2010 Cypher and two Japanese bead teachers corresponded with Japanese needle manufacturer Tulip Co Ltd about what beaders want in their needle.  Cypher introduced Tulip's new line of beading needles in 2011 and became their distributor for U.S.

She enjoys her reputation as an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and generous teacher, offering fresh and contemporary approaches.
