Weave an elegant floral pendant!
The Versailles Pendant evokes a classical gracefulness with
a gorgeous floral Czech button. The fine detail in the seed
bead bezel accentuates the pattern of the button, and a
series of bezeled rivolis, flat back crystals, and Czech
leaf beads accompany the focal. Many variations on this
design are possible, including necklace and earring
arrangements. Complement the pendant with a simple beaded
rope, or pair it with a silk ribbon.
Students
will learn how to bezel a floral Czech glass button, rivoli
crystals, and flat back crystals all with a method that
echoes the style and symmetry of the button. We’ll use
right-angle weave (RAW), modified right-angle weave (MRAW),
cubic right-angle weave (CRAW), peyote stitch, and a
variation on double right-angle weave (DRAW) to bring the
pendant together.
