Peyote

This ring and bracelet set came out of my bit-bowl which is a collection of parts and pieces. One day, I found a little component that I have really wanted to explore in more depth. It became the base of the Crown component that has an embellished channel and the side links have the channel zippered closed giving a puffy look. These ‘Puffy Links’ make a great bracelet on their own.

The Crown highlights a 14mm Swarovski rivoli surrounded by 3.4mm Miyuki Drops. The piece is engineered with Peyote stitch and built in stages allowing the underside to have a fun peek-a-boo of embellishment. It is created from the outside-in and the inside-out alternately using the lead working thread and the tail thread.
