Cliff Swain-Salomon

Cliff Swain-Salomon is an off-the-loom seed bead weaver known for creating non-traditional jewelry shapes and pushing the boundaries of color exploration. He began beading after injuring and losing use of both of his hands for over three years, when a friend recommended he try it as part of his hand rehabilitation therapy. Once he started, he was hooked.

In all of his pieces, he integrates over 30 years of study in multiple fields, including graphic design, music, as well as apprenticeships with several medicine men and women, exploring sacred geometry, numerology, and chromotherapy. His art has been featured in several publications and exhibits, including Style Magazine, Palos Verdes Arts Center, Conejo Valley Art Museum Show, Jurorís Selection at Placer Artists Studio Tour, California Lutheran University, Mill Avenue Merchants Association, and Oz! Gallery of Fine Jewelry and Art. His jewelry will also appear in the upcoming edition of Contemporary Geometric Beadwork Volume III.

When he is not beading, Cliff spends his time with his family and pets in Sunnyvale, California and teaches for a holistic health college.
